Support
How can we help?
Most answers are below. If yours isn't, write to us. A person reads every message, usually within a day.
Writing from your Mistiq address helps us find your account. We'll never ask for a passkey, a sign-in link or a code. Anyone who does isn't us.
Signing in
I lost my phone, or my passkey doesn't work
On the sign-in screen, choose Email me a link. It goes to the outside email address on your account, works once, and expires in 15 minutes. Once you're in, add a passkey for this device in Settings → Sign-in.
If you lost a device, sign it out: Settings → Sign-in → Sign out the others, then remove its passkey. Both ask for a passkey check first, so someone holding a stolen session can't lock you out.
I can't reach the email address my sign-in links go to
Write to support@mistiq.ai. Before changing where links go, we'll verify it's really you, and we'll tell the old address about the change. That can take a little longer. It's what keeps someone else from talking us into your mailbox.
I got an email about a passkey or sign-in I don't recognise
Sign in, go to Settings → Sign-in, remove any passkey you don't recognise and choose Sign out the others. Then write to security@mistiq.ai so we can look into it with you.
What Mistiq does
Will Mistiq send email without asking me?
Not unless you've told it it may. Every reply an agent writes waits for you as a decision. You can approve it, change it or drop it. Mistiq never sends your mail to someone outside the conversation or the people you trust without your approval of that message, whatever an email asks.
How do I stop Mistiq from doing anything by itself?
Mistiq → Rules → Let Mistiq act for you → Paused. Everything then waits for you, and anything an agent was about to send is withdrawn. Turn it back on whenever you like.
Mistiq got something wrong
Correct it where you see it (a promise, a date, a category), or reply to its decision. Mistiq learns from what you decide. If it keeps happening, tell us at support@mistiq.ai with the date and the sender (no need to forward the message).
An email told Mistiq to do something
Mistiq reads instructions inside emails but never follows them. A message that asks it to forward, reply or change a rule is flagged and comes to you. If you see one, it's often phishing: mark it as spam.
Why are images hidden?
Many emails contain images that tell the sender when, and roughly where, you opened them. Mistiq blocks them until you choose Show images on a message. You can change the default in Settings → Mail → Images from the web.
Agents and connected services
How do I let an outside agent into my mailbox, or remove one?
Connect the agent to Mistiq. You'll be asked to approve it with a passkey and choose what it may do. To remove it, open Settings → Connected → Agents in your mailbox and disconnect it. Its access ends on its next request.
What do Étincel and Humble & Kind see?
Étincel sees drafts and, when you ask, your own writing. It never sees mail you received. Humble & Kind is asked what it knows about a conversation's subject, and nothing is kept on your page without your yes. Disconnect either one in Settings → Connected. The Privacy policy has the details.
Your data
How do I download my mail?
Settings → Account → Download your mail gives you the mail you've received as an mbox file, which Apple Mail, Thunderbird and most mail apps can import. Download your data is everything else as JSON: the mail you sent, and what Mistiq worked out (promises, decisions, contacts and rules).
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Account → Delete your account. Type your address and confirm with a passkey. Your mail, data, passkeys and connections are removed right away, and backups expire within 30 days. Your address stays reserved for a year so no one else can receive mail meant for you. Download anything you want to keep first, because deletion can't be undone.
Spam and abuse
Getting unwanted mail from a Mistiq address? Forward it, with its headers if you can, to abuse@mistiq.ai. We act on every report.
Reporting a security issue
If you've found a vulnerability in Mistiq, thank you. Please write to security@mistiq.ai with what you found, how to reproduce it and what it could lead to. Don't post it publicly until it's fixed. Our machine-readable contact is at /.well-known/security.txt.
- We'll acknowledge your report within 2 business days, keep you informed, and tell you when it's fixed.
- We won't pursue legal action over research done in good faith under this policy.
- Test only against your own account. Never read, change or keep someone else's mail. If you reach other people's data, stop and tell us.
- No denial of service, spam, social engineering or physical attacks.
- In scope: mistiq.ai, app.mistiq.ai, files.mistiq.ai, the iOS app and the MCP server. Getting Mistiq to act on instructions hidden in an email (send, forward, change a rule) is especially welcome.
- We'd love to credit you when the fix ships, if you'd like to be.
